There are actual medical benefits to stopping and smelling the roses.

Learn about those benefits during a during a special program about aromatherapy and essential oils at 6:30 p.m., March 4, at Mentor Public Library’s Main Branch, 8215 Mentor Ave.

First, certified Reiki Master and aromatherapist Maggie Kimble will explain what different oils can be used to treat and how to use them safely. Then, afterward, those who attend will have an opportunity to make their own essential oil mix to take home.

The program is free and open to everyone. However, people are required to register beforehand at www.mentorpl.org or by calling the library at 440-255-8811, ext. 247.
