STUDENTS at Joondalup Primary School and Education Support Centre recently put their books and pens away to celebrate their annual Health and Wellness Day.

This year’s theme was ‘Everyday Emotions’, with interactive games and activities to give students the tools to recognise their emotions and understand they are all OK.

Activities were creates by the teachers and included decorating fences with fabric, using large boxes for construction, laughing yoga, drumming, parkour, blowing bubbles, completing obstacle courses and making smoothies.

Joondalup Primary School principal Carol Selley said students “really enjoyed taking a day out to get creative and connect their minds and bodies”.

“We discussed the range of emotions that we feel on any given day and some of the experiences and feelings that are attached to those emotions.”
