BETHEL — A local salon has donated care packages and thousands of supplies to those on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis.
Escape Salon, which is closed due to the pandemic, has given the gloves and masks it is not using to Danbury Hospital and Bethel first responders.
The company is asking other hair, nail, spas and tattoo facilities to do the same. Other businesses may drop off items at Escape Salon or arrange for the owner to pick them up. To arrange, call 203-798-9882.
The salon has delivered thousands of masks, hundreds of boxes of gloves, as well as cases of Clorox wipes, owner Maria Rodrigues said.
Special care packages, with essentials like shampoo, conditioner, body wash and shaving cream, were also given to doctors and nurses who cannot go home, she said.
