While Disha Patani’s workout regime is jam-packed, she knows the importance of stretching to improve her fitness levels overall. Plus, it increases flexibility too, as the more you work the muscles, the more pliable they become. Most importantly, stretching is key to improve recovery time. When you’re working out as much as Patani is, going makeup-free can help prevent breakouts and congestion. “I make it a point to never wear makeup when I work out because it clogs my pores and can cause breakouts. However, I do always use a moisturiser and lip balm to keep my skin hydrated,” she shared. Experts suggest going barefaced, or at the very least, thoroughly getting rid of all sweat, grime and makeup after a workout.

For others, like Patani, keeping it simple is a better way to get to clear, healthy skin. “I strongly believe in a fuss-free cleansing, toning, moisturising regime that I practice daily without fail. If it’s easy and it works, I am way more likely to do it,” she says. After all, doctors say that consistency can promise you better results than tacking too many products on, only to skip it often.

A lit-from-within base is the only common thread between Patani’s bold and experimental beauty looks. Especially when she’s off-duty, the actor likes to skip the shimmery highlighter and blush for melt-into-the-skin products that help cement the no-makeup makeup look that she loves.
